Sources says GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C Due Date to be Extended:
Its 25th September, 2020 already and CBIC has not issued a notification to extend the due date for filing GST annual return and GST audit. Professionals are striving hard to complete the compliance on time. However, due to Covid-19, it could not be completed and people are finding it difficult to get through this situation. Keeping the above practical aspects, ICAI has also made representation to extend GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C due date. But yet it is not extended. Sources says GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C Due Date to be Extended
A recent tweet of Timsy Jaipuria (Assistant Editor with CNBC TV18) informed that sources says that GST Inplementation committee is considering to extend GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C due date from 30th September, 2020 to 31st October, 2020.
A formal decision is yet to be made by the government.
